Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Maaly application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Maaly provides Islamic wealth management tools including precious metals tracking, cash management, Zakah calculation, Wasiyyah creation, and financial goal setting. The app is designed to assist users in managing their finances in accordance with Islamic principles.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payment

Maaly offers a free trial period followed by paid subscription plans. Payments are processed through the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The 'Lifetime' plan grants access for the lifetime of the Maaly service, not the lifetime of the user. This does not guarantee perpetual or indefinite access and is subject to service availability and continuity. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable once the purchase is completed.

5. Disclaimer

Maaly is a financial tracking tool and does not provide financial, legal, or religious advice. Zakah calculations are based on general guidelines and should be verified with a qualified Islamic scholar. We are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on the app's calculations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maaly and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

8. Service Discontinuation

In the event that Maaly discontinues its service, users will be given at least 30 days advance notice. During this period, users will be able to export their data. No refunds will be issued for subscription periods already consumed. For lifetime plan holders, access will remain available until the service is fully discontinued.

9. Refund Policy

Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are handled by the respective platform in accordance with their refund policies. Maaly does not process refunds directly. Please contact Apple or Google support for refund requests.

10. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms of Service, please contact us through the app's Contact Us page.

11. Local Storage Mode

Maaly supports two storage modes: Cloud (synced to your account) and Local (kept on this device only). When you choose Local mode, your data is stored exclusively on this device, is not synced to our servers, and cannot be recovered by us if the app is uninstalled, the device is lost or reset, or the local database is corrupted. You are solely responsible for creating your own backups (Export Data) when using Local mode. Switching storage modes is a one-way replacement of the destination store: moving from Local to Cloud uploads your data and then clears the local copy; moving from Cloud to Local downloads your cloud data and replaces anything currently on the device. Cloud backup is a paid feature and is not available in Local mode. By selecting Local mode you acknowledge that data loss prevention is your responsibility.
